Yes, you can wear concealer without foundation on top.
Heres what I do. Sometimes, I put on foundation first, then use my concealer to dab at the bad spots. Other times, for a more lowkey look, I just use the concealer. However, I do put a powder over it, to soften the look and make the concealer less visible, as well as reduce the shine. Generally, acne removers combined with makeup are a bad idea. They're like 2 in 1 shampoo/conditioners...a good idea, but impossible execution. To avoid using concealer with acne treatment, I would suggest using Burts Bee's Herbal Blemish Stick. It has alcohol to dry out the acne, but also tea tree oil, which corrects the balance in your skin tone, helps reduce oil, and helps heal the sores. Once the application dries, put on make-up as normal, try to avoid touching your face with your hands (the dirt and oil contributes to more acne), and always wash off before you go to bed. I would also avoid tinted moisturizers, which exacerbate the acne as well. Hope that helps!
Put clear acne medicine on the blemish.
Put a greenish concealer on the blemish (green is the opposite of red on the color wheel therefore it neutralizes the red).
Put foundation on over all.
I use the concealers and foundations from LAMinerals. The concealers are mineral powder, but really creamy feeling, and stays put. Then I put my mineral foundation over that.
Looks great! No spots!
i also have the same problem sometimes.
i use a regular conealer from CVS and what i do is dab it (just a tiny tiny bit) on the blemish and dab it/rub it in and then i put on my foundation (liquid) with a make up brush, and in spots where my foundation needs to be more blended, i use a sponge or a tissue or my finger!
