I think you want to create a short cut in your desktop for your mails. It is possible. Type the address of your mail provider in the address bar.Just reduce the size of explorer so as you can see the desktop.Point your mouse to the "e" symbol in the address bar so you will see a "hand' as mouse pointer. Then just drag and drop it into your desktop. Your short cut will be in desktop.
If you want to place a shortcut from Outlook to your desktop, go to start find outlook under programs and right click. Select create shortcut and you're done.
if you are trying to get your mail on your desktop I don't think there is a specific program for that. but u can always install yahoo msg. and they msg will tell you when u receive a new e-mail.
or you can install a bar that will go underneath your address box in your internet explorer, that is supported by yahoo, which will tell u if you have a mail.
