I hope you knew I was joking, lol... I wish I could take naps... it's just not something I've ever been able to do. I just lay there thinking about all the other things I should be doing, and by the time I doze off, my son is waking up.

I'm a nap taker. Personally, I think *anyone* has the right to take a nap regardless of being a sahm or not. I've been a sahm for 9 years but I've taken naps even in my teen years. My 8 year old doesn't take naps but my 13 year old takes a nap everyday.

To me, a nap is just like watching tv or getting on the net or whatever. Take one if ya want.

Do working Mom's deserve a nap?

When I was a SAHM and had time, yes I napped. Maybe 2-3 times a week. My kids ARE younger - they are now 21 months and 4, I've only been back to work for 6 months.

I don't allow myself to nap during the day. If I have a nap I feel horrible for the rest of the day. If I feel tired I take a walk, the fresh air breathes some life back into me. The only time was with my first. It felt as though he didn't sleep for the first 3 weeks of life. I slept every chance I got with him. All moms deserve a nap though. =)

Oh of course. I nap everytime I get both kids down. We do cleaning, cooking, feeding, bathing etc. All in one day. Of course we deserve one. I work nights till 12 or 1 in the morning. Get up to kids at about 7 or 8. Two kids under 2. Clean, cook, play, wash etc. I deserve a nap and anyone tells me I don't, well they know where the door is. All mothers deserve naps. We work all day and all night. None stop.we work more than 75 hrs a week.

I'm a WSAHM and sometimes I wish I could get even an hour of sleep but sadly I can't. If it was just my kids here I might not be as tired out so I'm not sure if I would. The best I can do is time out naps to be at the same time and mix up structured play time (me actively involved, running the activity) and free play time (I'm still there but they can play with whatever. I can't get naps or breaks but I make sure I get some down time.

lol well I don't know if we deserve them anymore than working moms do, but as it's easier for us to take naps, it's more feasible. I normally do not take naps, but today may be different. My little man was up off and on all night long and then my daughter got up at 5:30. I think I will be taking a nap as soon as my son goes down for one...

I wish! I feel way too guilty to nap, although there are times I really need it. I used to take a nap on saturday afternoons, when my husband was home, but now that he's gone it never happens. If I get both kids asleep at the same time, I typically go clean...napping sounds more fun!

Being a sahm is SO hard. I was able to experience it both ways, and I found staying home to be much harder. The pressure is on to do everything perfect, even when you don't feel like it. If your husband comes home and the house is not spotless you feel like you failed. If you don't prepare rack of lamb for dinner each night, you feel like a failure.

Parenting is a 24/7 job. If your child wakes at night, who is expected to get up? The sahm.

I had a plaque in my home that said, "Dust and cobwebs can all go asleep. I am rocking my baby cause' baby's don't keep.

The housework will be there tomorrow, and the next day, and the next day. All moms need some me time, preferably without the guilt.

i am a studying mom and yes, i take a nap after lunch often, i get off school at 1pm so i kind of am a sahm part-time lol..

anyone who is tired or sleepy deserves a nap
