I was at Topanga beach (near Malibu) and was doing yoga and an acorn mysteriously just plopped down on my beach towel. There were NO other people on the beach (I was doing yoga while my fiance was out in the water surfing). There were NO other people at that beach, no trees near by, and there were only seagulls. I'm trying to figure out how a lone acorn was dropped directly on my beach towel amidst the otherwise expansive and empty beach. Trying to figure out if a seagull might have dropped it. Thanks.

Gulls will pretty much eat anything. I've seen a few try to eat rocks and then spitting them out again, so I am sure acorns are fair game.
If a seagull was eating acorns, why did it drop it on you uneaten? I would look for small boys giggling in the sand dunes as a possible answer.
seagulls do not eat acorns as a rule simply because acorns are not readily accessible food source
It sounds like a lonely squirrel was trying to get your attention. He's probably still pining for you now.
