When I came to the states people were suprised when they heard me talk Spanish. They wondered how I, with blond hair and blue eyes, could speak Spanish so fluently. I told them I was from Spain and they asked if my parents moved from Germany to Spain or something like that. They thought Spaniards looked brown like Mexicans and I was extremely suprised to hear this. So my question is, before you read this, how did you imagine spaniards and do you consider them white/Caucasian.

Of course, they are white. Spaniards are Europeans. People who think that Spaniards look brown like Mexicans have a limited education in cultural differences; and because you are blond / blue-eyed, I would imagine that your ancestry is NW Spain.
I've always imagined Spaniards as Mediterranean looking, resembling the looks of the people who live in Italy, Greece, Cyprus, and the Levant. Of course, Spain, just like any other Mediterranean nation, has its fair share of blonde haired, blue eyed, and fair skinned people.
Yes, I do consider Spaniards to be a White/Caucasian people. Spaniards are fully Caucasians, therefore they are White.
I do, I have traveled a lot for my young age and know that most Spaniards are in-deed white.
Now, Spain like most old countries have a population of Gypsy race people. I've seen this in Russia, in some countries in South America,Italy, even in Germany. I think America is too young of a country to have these people. However most Spaniards are white.
I do, because Spaniard is a different thing from Mexican (or another Latino nationality).
It's not that we consider Spaniards to be the same as Latinos, only that Latinos are far more common in the U.S. When I went to college and met Spanish students, I too was surprised, but not overly so. It's not so hard to wrap one's brain around, but the norm is that Spanish-speaking peoples are not white unless they studied it as a second language or were raised in Central/South America.
So yes, Spaniards are white.
Yes, Spaniards are white european, as well as Italians and greeks they are all white and not necessarely "dark"; LOTS of them are very light skinned. I've never seen a Spaniard who looks like the stereotypical Mexican/Mestizo that the American media shows.
I am Colombian and yes, well we are culturally closer because of the language, so off course I know there are blond Spaniards, like El Niño Torres, Piqué, but when I think of Spaniards I generally think of people like Guardiola or Daniel Brühl.
I agree with Penélope Cruz not being white. She looks Arab to me.
Well, I've always thought that Spaniards look like Penelope Cruz, Javiar Bardem, Antonio Bandares, Benicio Del Toro, and even Penelope Cruz's sister Monica Cruz, they all look Mexican or some other type of Mestizo latino. I never imagined a blond, blue eyed Spaniard. But that was probably me just being small minded and ignorant. Because not all Spaniards look exactly the same right??? But it would be nice to see a pic of u..
I guess, I had people from Spain as teachers before. One was a tall blonde woman, most people would consider her white. Another was kinda a dark skinned, sorta arabish looking man, many people just considered him Hispanic.
maximum Latin individuals aren't from now on finished blooded Europeans. except you're in Argentina or Uruguay. Latin American isn't even a race, its a cultural crew, anybody of any race could be Latin American, a Latin American man or woman could be any race. bypass to Brazil in case you do not trust me...the basically position that has more suitable jap people is Japan.
I understand that your name is "The Spaniard" but do all your questions have to be about Spaniards being white?
