Does my daughter need to see a psychologist? (porn)?
So on my daughters browsing history i found out she was looking up porn and incest porn and some weird things like that. I know for a fact she searched it because no one else uses this computer. Is this normal? Porn maybe id br okay eith... But incest?! Shoulf i be worried? She gets really good grades, shes involved in extracirriculars etc. whats your take on this?

This in and of itself is not a reason for her to see a psychologist. This is normal. That is a very common theme in erotica, as much as some people are grossed out by it. As long as you have no reason to believe she has been abused or is abusing anyone else, and as long as this erotica is NOT about assault or child molestation, then there's no reason for concern.

But on a positive note, much useful and educational stuff can be gained by watching porn so get together with her, look at some porn together and have a rational, mature discussion of what is there and what it all means to her or you. Maybe she is not as sick as you might think.
No No No! Dont make her feel ashamed for being curious. My parents tried to teach me that being sexual is shameful and took me to psychiatrists (unprovoked) and it messed me up for a long time and at one point i attempted suicide and landed in a hospital. I always felt shame and problematic bc for any and every reason they would take me to psychiatrists, and it never helps trust me!!! Maybe she looked up porn and incest porn came up. maybe her friend told her it was something else. maybe shes just curious if such a thing exists. There is a 99% chance she isn't interested in doing anything involving incest, so chill!

It's normal for young people to be curious about taboo sexual subjects. She'll grow out of her interest in it. I wouldn't worry unless you see something in her behavior that indicates a possible problem.
