EFFEXOR XR 150 MGs to Venlafaxine 75mgs 2 times a day?

i been on effexor xr 150 mgs for 7 years, today i decided i was going to the doctors to be weaned off of it. I dropped perscription off and they gave me these pills called Venlafaxine 75mgs (not capsules)and I am top take them 2 times a day. Im seriously worried and scared about it, Do you think i will be ok? I do this for 14 days then take just one 75mg a day for 14 days then move down. also- starting tomorrow-whats the best times to take the two venlafaxines apart? thanks:)

That is simply generic for Effexor. Taking two of them should be the same as the 150 mg of Effexor you were taking.

You can probably take both 75 mg pills at the same time, since you were taking 150 mg. You might call the pharmacist and get their opinion.
