and you think that western riding and rodeos are so much easier It may look easy to go around a barrel three times or do reigning or cutting well its not so you can get a life and maybey go try it for your self and se how "easy" it is
They held auditions at my HS last year. I know 1-2 people went for horses. I debated but figured since I was already a hunter the chances of getting picked for eventing were pretty close to zero. None of the girls were picked.
I think horses would be very difficult because it is impossible to get a good enough seat on someone in a short amount of time to allow them go over a fence. That is without even considering how high the jumps would have to be before non-horse people recognize the true difficulty. I had to get to 3'6" before any of my friends understood how hard it was to put a good course over fences together. Most people think x-rails and 2 foot are easy and probably wouldnt watch the show.
That would be cool, I have often thought of why they don't have that on made. Like someone stated above me Yes, it would be hard to develop a good seat and perfect all your riding skills. If they lengthened the time to be made (8 or 12 weeks) it could be done. Of course you would have to ride practically every day and you should have minor horse experience. Like at least knowing how to walk, trot, and canter. You could perfect those skills and practice going over calvetti poles and then moving on cross-rails to higher jumps. At the end there could be a horse show and you could see how they would place. I know I would watch it but probably the majority of other people may not be interested in it. Good luck!
I don't think so but its called a hunter jumper, show jumper, or cross country. Show jumping is in a ring, cross country is a trail a jumps through the out doors. 3 day eventing you may want to consider. Its dressage, show jumping, and dressage all in one day. English riding is very hard so you may want to consider Western riding and rodeo.
