Make sure after you pull the wand out that you take of some of the excess mascara off the brush. The reason it's only on one eye is because one eye is getting an overdose of mascarar, making it so the bristles can't separate the lashes. When you get to the second eye, you have the right amount and it will go on more efficiently because the bristles aren't full of too much mascara. So just make sure you get the excess off, and then try. After using mascara you should use a eyelash brush as well which will separate your lashes and make them look even better.
When you are dealing with mascara it's best to work with it before it dries. You should invest in a eyebrow brush/comb and a separate mascara wand (they sell 'em at wal-mart or sally's) that way once you have applied your mascara you can use a wand without any so your lashes don't look too chunky or globby, and you can use the comb to close the gap between your lashes. It is important that your mascara isn't dry when you try it or it will not move.
Also you should move your mascara wand side to side when you apply it (to the left and right) this will help distribute it evenly.
Hope this helps :)
Isn't that annoying?!?! I used to have the same problem and it drove me crazy! The reason it happens is because the mascara makes your lashes cling to one another... in some weird ways sometimes lol.
Here's what I do: 1) I use CoverGirl LashBlast (orange tube) and I love it because the way the applicator is makes it next to impossible for any clumping to happen! Its soo nifty!
2)If I ever decide to use a bulkier mascara I always use my needle tip (thin and narrow) tweezers and I just quickly break up the clumps by stickin it in between the offending lashes lol!
Hope that helps!!
What I do is I don't go straight up with my mascara, I wiggle a bit with the stick so the hairs can't stick together in the way you describe. ( make right to left movements while going upwards) Also make sure you get the end of the eye to not just the middle. I always divide my eye in three pieces. The inner of my eye, the middle and the end. I do those three parts in the way I described above.
Your lashes could just naturally go in those directions. To get them to stand straighter after applying your mascara, comb through your lashes with a brow/ lash comb (you can get them wherever they sell makeup brushes and applicators, they're a pretty basic tool). An eyelash curler can help, too, to sort of set them into place once you have them combed out straight.
NEVER use a pin to separate your lashes, there is too much potential for accidentally scratching your eye, even if you have very steady hands.
NOO! do not listen to divinely!pumping your mascara only creates bacteria!google it and you'll see everyone saying it.
before you use your mascara
1)curl your eyelashes.
2)gently wipe off excess mascara from wand with a tissue paper
3)use an eyelash comb to gently separate your eyelases and arrange you lashes(do while mascara is not fully dried)
make sure your lashes are'nt wet it will make them sag.
Good luck!
Hello,
You are getting gaps in your eyelashes do to your technique. Before applying mascara:
1) Wash your face
2) Dry your face
3) Apply moisturizer
4) Dry off eyes with a towel
5) Pump mascara 5 times
6) Start at the base of your eye lashes and up until you get a full coat.
7) Do this for all your eyelashes and then repeat
8) If you have any that are clumped take a safety pin and separate them CAREFULLY.
9) Make sure you are using NEW mascara.
Hope this helps

ok you need to use the eyelash curler before u allpy any masacara on or also get a toothpick and where u seem the lashes clumped together pick at it to separate them and hopefully that might work as well
