Fantasy baseball trade?
In a 14-team keeper league, was offered Hosmer ($5) + Hellickson ($8) for Adam Jones ($26) + Eovaldi (FA pickup). Should I take it?
I'm 2nd to last right now. So, a trade to help me for next year makes sense.
FYI - We're allowed four keepers. Every player you keep is valued at an additional $4 from their previous year's value (thus Jones would be $30 next year ($26 + 4)). Free agents are automatically given a value of $5 if picked as a keeper for next year. I already have Trout ($7) and Kipnis ($11).

I would do this trade. Hosmer is a great player, but Jones is soon to enter his prime. Jones is bit of a more 5-tool player than Hosmer. I might not keep Eovaldi. You should be able to find someone better to keep.
I would keep your players for your keeper league. Hosmer and Hellickson are both under priced. Keep your team and you do not want to blow $30 on Jones, even though he is great. Hosmer and Hellickson are at solid values and both will get better next season.

If you are going to keep Hosmer and Hellickson go for it. If you're only keeping one, then it depends on how much you're rebuilding.
