I am currently looking at getting a 5th generation Honda Prelude. I need a car that will last me a while seeing as I will not have the funds to be able to get a new car anytime soon. I also want a car that is quick, light, and stylish. I love how the Prelude looks and I was wondering do you think this car fulfills my needs and wants?

Prelude is a great and reliable car. It took us from WI to NH, MA and NY without any problems.
The prelude is a nice car, I owned one until I crashed mine, but its a really nice car. I have owned accords and civics in my life, but the prelude is the car that was better than both of them! I had the 2.0 liter 200 horsepower prelude, 5 speed manual. It was such a nice car, the engine is basically the same as the rsx. I highly recommend the honda prelude, its a great reliable car. I never had any problems with it until I started modding the engine!
The prelude is everything you just described. It's pretty quick (0-60 is in the 6-7 second range, which isn't bad for a 4 banger),
it's a sporty two door coupe, and it will save you on gas. Also, it will run forever. It's a honda, trust me, it will last for years even under abuse. You're making a good choice in cars and I don't even like japanese cars. Now, remember, if it's over 13,000, you are getting MAJORLY ripped off. Just a word of the wise =)
have fun and good luck
regrettably, the Honda Prelude is an dazzling motor vehicle. the rationalization I say "regrettably" is using the fact I unquestionably have a Prelude and that i instructed myself that I won't provide it up until it dies on me. that's a 1988 Prelude and nevertheless does not burn a single drop of oil with extra advantageous than 200k miles on it. So unquestionably, that's an incredible motor vehicle that basically won't provide up on you.
My daughter has a 1988 Prelude...still going and it's been an excellent car for her, with routine maintenance and little else. K ;o)
prelude? yeah, Honda's remaking it in a few years. It's a great car from what I've heard, and if it has all the amenities (a/c) i would go for it.
Go for the lude!! I own a 3rd gen and it slays!!
Check out Preludepower.com. It's a forum just for prelude owners.
honda is great for quality.
broaden your horizon though.
check out 240's if you like that 90's style.
also mitsu FTO's are pretty cool.
but their super rare.
If you can't afford to maintain a vehicle, it's better to get one with zero maintence cost, buy a Corrolla.
