I’m sick and tired of my sister wearing my clothes she just takes it out of my cabinet/dresser when I’m not home. We share a room so it’s not like I can lock my room. I want to buy locks or anything that will prevent her from opening my cabinet.

The cheapest method would be a padlock on each drawer and each door or each mating pair of doors, with a simple hasp. The hardware store will sell you the lock and hasp for $5 or $6 for the cheap versions. You don't need a great quality lock because if your sister is going to bring tools to get past the simple lock and hasp, she would also be able to get past the expensive version, because the surrounding wood could be easily cut away. If you are confident that she won't try to break through the lock and hasp system, you don't need to spend much. Make sure the padlock you buy uses a tumbler key or a combination, and not the simple gate key system. A tumbler key has hills and valleys that look like the profile of a mountain range. Those are better than the ones that look like a twig with branches coming out sideways.
Installation is easy. The hasp is connected to the wood with screws. The screws cannot be reached by a screwdriver when the hasp is closed and held closed by the lock.

=== you only have to measure and ""paddle drill bit"" a hole in one door and use those old fashioned type screen door hooks on the other door ... go to == shopzilla.com and then plug into the search bar at the shopzilla.com website """ double door locks""" ++++++++++ also you can look on from your own search box at top R. corner of yo L-top === installing a cabinet door lock = ==== and some thing like "" double door cabinet locks """" these installations are fairly simple but the lock does need to be installed thru a drilled hole .... if you study this woodworking technique it is simple and you can do this as it will look the nicest ..... OR you can get a hasp and a pad lock and just screw the hasp into the doors and using the screen door hooks to keep the doors tightly closed and then locked ... get a hasp that will cover both door stiles and the 1/2 loop will be covered by the folding part of the hasp and fold across the screws so the only part that shows is then the 1/2 loop holding the pad lock ... sorry this is so long but you have two ways to ""keep out sis"" and that is if she doesn't get to your email before you do ..... do you want to wreck your dresser with locks or maybe you just need to invest into a small safe, there are lots of ways to lock a dresser but many will just wreck it. best to invest into a small safe, have seen them for under 100 bucks. or if you really want privacy get a bank safety deposit box and then no one short of a bank robbery can mess with your stuff. a dresser is not a safe place to keep things private not worth the trouble
You can go to the dollar store, and buy a padlock for only a few dollars. You could get one with a key, or a combination lock. Or, you could get a cheap bike lock to put on the handles.
Hope this helped, and good luck! ♥
