Your house is your home; your sanctuary. Don't turn it into anything to impress your friends! Have parties, sure, but believe me, there will come a time when you just want them to get the hell out. I strongly advise against making it into somewhere they will always want to be-and you'll be stuck with the bills when things get broken, floors get destroyed by spilled beer, roach burns turn up on the furniture, etc. You might as well burn everything you own; it's quicker, easier, and no hangovers.
