find something you're good at. and do that. For example, i am pretty good at basketball, so a few weeks ago i started playing alot because i had ZERO self esteem, and let me tell you it really works. i feel much more confident and have self esteem now, and it feels great.
another thing that helps is just think... why do you have low self esteem. is it because your worried what others think? (thats what it was for me) so i told my self. who cares? nobody is watching you all the time and judging you, and if they are they're creepy as **** and you should not be hanging out with them.
and this helps the most. why did God put you on this earth. its because you have potential!! YOU are going to change the world, YOU can do anything you put your mind do. YOU are an important person. YOU have affected many people in different ways, even if it's just smiling at someone random.
if you want some more tips just email me or something. i was in the same boat you were 2 weeks ago, and i feel so great, like i am on top of a mountain and can do anything. GOOD LUCK
First off you're going to want to start by taking a good look in the mirror. You have to tell yourself that you are perfect just the way you are. Then you have to draw a line (imaginary) every time someone, ANYONE, tries to tell you that you are not. You have to immediately STOP them from trying to talk you down, take advantage of you or disrespect you. For example, if someone says they are going to call you and they don't. When you finally see them, tell them that that was rude and you are not interested in further communication. Refuse to accept when other don't respect you. If you disagree with someone, just say, well, we'll just have to agree to disagree. I will do it my way for now, and if that doesn't work, then I might try what you say. Go to the library and get books out on how to build self esteem by great authors. There are plenty. Check amazon.com first and then try to find the books that come up from your search. Keep looking for answers on self improvement and read about it, like you are doing here. Give yourself credit for being smart enough to figure things out for yourself. Once you start to have a few little successes on your own you will begin to feel empowered. Other people's opinions of you won't matter to you. You will know inside that you are independent and perfectly capable of doing things, having style, making decisions, and talking to people YOU choose--not the other way around. Peace.
