Empanadas are a dish served in many Hispanic/Latin cultures, all with their own variation of it. The best empanadas are from Panama, if you ask me, but a Cuban empanada traditionally is made of ground beef or chicken, folded into dough and deep fried. You can get them on the street for 10CUP and are pretty good. They do make them with cheese or fruits as well. They are commonly served as a snack or light lunch, as opposed to the "meat" of a main course, as in other cultures.
Isn't it funny that the person calling you stupid is completely wrong in his answer? ;)
Do you mean how is empanada Cuban? Or How do you make Cuban empanada?
I love empanada, all the different version. From the simpler baked Spanish version stuffed with tuna to the deep fried Latin versions full of many different ingredients. They're just the perfect portable meal. I also enjoy the other empanada cousins like samosas from India, Jamaican patties, calzones from Italy and Cornish Pasties.
Are you really that STUPID? Empanadas are a SPANISH food and you find them in every Spanish speaking counry.. so why would you not find those delicious little 'pies' with a sweet or savory fillin in Cuba. It's pretty had to 'make them cuban' but I suppose you could put a CIGAR in one.
