I want to know how does the coil will resonate at a particular frequency in conjunction with another electronic component known as a capacitor. How does that happen? Why a radio needs oscilator, diode, capacitor, coil...

A coil (inductor) and capacitor may together form a tuned circuit with a resonant frequency. An oscillator may then use it to generate a 'carrier' for the transmitter signal. If you are new to electronics, you might check out some books from your local library, or buy some at the used book store. Basic stuff should not cost much.
