I want to become a grave cleaner or a grave tender but, cannot find any training available. ?
Hello, I recently had a close family friend pass away unexpectedly. After such an event and realizing how deteriorated some other markers and headstones were, I wanted to learn how to take care of not only our family friends' headstones but also others. I'm very interested in learning these skills, but unfortunately cannot find anyone to teach me in Texas near Houston. Google shows nothing. If you know of any training programs, please let me know. It would be much appreciated.

Go to the cemetery you visited and speak with the grounds keeper. It's just general landscaping, no special training required other than learning on the job.
A cemetery grounds keeper will not require any training or education beyond high school. They deal more with maintenance and keeping the grass mowed, bushes trimmed.

Cemetery conservation sounds more like a volunteer position more than a full time job.
Your best bet would be to contact a museum and have them help you get in touch with restoration technicians that do that kind of work.

I'd look up headstone restoration - there seem to be quite a few articles, youtube vids, etc on it. There's even restoration done with a laser.
