That aside you shouldn't be embarrassed because it's not a big deal no one see's it the way you described unless they are the super up tight traditional type. or pseudoartsy /yuppie (hipsters and former hipsters) people. Both types don't see that others think they are stupid. It's ironic

Hi, I also didn't get to see the parade this year (I'm older than you and I love the Macy's parade!!)

I don't believe that Macy's parade is just for children...but even if it was, OH WELL!! ...I would probably be finding a child to sit and watch it with. But as it is now, I love the parade and I won't give up watching it next year!!

Ps...I heard it was beautiful and now I'm sorry that I missed it!
