so i put a k&n in my car, and it ran great, then 20,000 miles went by and i decided to clean it (i know i didnt need to) so i cleaned it and put it back in, and it ran too stron because i didnt put enough oil on the k&n after i cleaned it, so i took it out, and put the paper filter back in, i then ordered a new k&n online, and when i got it, i put it in, and it ran good again.....but now i cant help but to think that all the filter changes might have done something....i accellerate at a red light, and it just doesnt seem like it has the same power as it did when the very first k&n was on it....do you think i could have done something, or is it just my imagination?? haha

ooookkkkkk
There is a small chance that when you changed back to the normal filter you did not reduce yourt power with a K&N much at all, so when you have gone back to using a K&N you presumed you where going to have more power.
Have you made sure you have taken the old filter off when putting in the K&N?
Not only is it your imagination now but it was also your imagination if you thought you had more power when you first put it in. There is no way you could feel the few horsepower the K&N added.
my k and n has a grease that is suppose to be applied to the base each time it's removed. did you apply enough of it? or maybe you tore it a little bit, but those things have a life warrenty, I would contact k and n
