You should be able to find a VIN number on your C200 Kompressor MBz. You may be able to contact the SriLanka Department of Motor Vehicles about the date of import into SriLanka. With the correct VIN number, you should be able to ask MBz in Stuttgart, Germany for a Certificate of Origin. The C. of O. should tell you the exact date of manufacture and the place or city where it was built. The taxes and import duties in SriLanka may be very high compared to Germany's Added Value Tax and Import Duties. Was your Dad the original owner of this C200 Kompressor MBz?
The absolutely free reverse vin check sites generally provide fake information. To get real information, money will have to be paid. The free searches provide fake information so they can get your email address to send spam.
Stay away from shady reverse vin check sites, most likely you won't get any information after you make the payment. Not to mention you won't get a report and you won't get an answer if you try to call for a refund. Stick with a reputable reverse vin check site like http://www.reversevincheck.net/ that has been around since 1995.
The VIN number will tell you what model year the vehicle is. If you would like to know the manufacturing date, look at the sticker on the B-pillar on the driver's side. It has the month and year of production stamped on the sticker.
What a car is worth is what someone is willing to pay for it, as far as the yr check the drivers side door. The year made will be there.
If you want to use 205, then your tire should have 205/60R15. This way your height of the tire remain the same as 195/65R15 (this also makes your speedometer & odometer accurate). I don't see any problem with BAS, ABS, ESP as long as all 4 tires are the same size. I still recommend staying with original tire size.
open the driver's door and on side of the door when you open it there's a sticker that has everything printed including vin, manufacture date, etc.
If he wants to sell it the year doesn't make any difference. Just sell it.
