After reading Cardcaptor Sakura (CCS), I stumbled across another CLAMP title, "Tsubasa: Reservoir Chronicles" the main characters are named Sakura and Syaoran, and they are involved with Clow Reed.
Sakura and Syaoran also look like older versions of the CCS characters.
Are the two titles related, or just coincidence?

Tsubasa isn't a sequel to Cardcaptor Sakura, but it isn't a coincidence either. Clamp took the main character designs from CCS, and Tsubasa takes place in the same universe as some of their other series (particular xxxHolic). So while the characters look pretty much the same and have the same names, they aren't technically the same characters.
The characters are associated but the story isn't. Often all you need to do is think about this as a diff story and show overall. Don't apply some thing you already know about Card Captor Sakura to Tsubasa given that you can just get careworn. Tsubasa Chronicals Reservoir is a narrative created by CLAMP, you see they took no longer simplest the characters from Card Captor Sakura, however different characters from mangas they made similar to "xxxholic's" characters and "X/1999's" characters also "Chobits" characters..And made a wholly distinctive manga/anime out of it.This has nothing to do with Card Capter Sakura (good in some methods it DOES but they are in one of a kind worlds or "dimensions", its one other anime/story total although.
No, TRC is not a sequel to Cardcaptor Sakura. But the two are kinda related since TRC has world/dimension-hopping as part of its plot. Thus, they look alike since they are like the same people but in different worlds. I recommend reading TRC since the plot is amazing, original, and filled with interesting twists and action.
