2. A stone weighs 5.4 N. What force must be applied to make it accelerate upward at 3.0 m/s2?
my answer: 16.2N

If the weight of the stone is 5.4N its mass is m = 5.4/g
The required force is 5.4 + m*a = 5.4 + 5.4*3/g = 7.05N
they'll both hit the floor jointly i'm assuming we are neglecting air resistance on account that there is no cost to element this into the region. if you're neglecting air resistance a plane and a basketball will both hit the floor jointly in the adventure that they both have the same initial velocity and initiating appropriate.
