I know I posted this before with the title of mascara monster but I only got one answere that wasn't really helpful. Anyway, I usually bought Maybelline mascara for a long time then I picked up some Jane mascara, that got old and ran out so I bought another tube of Maybelline. I don't know what Im doing wrong but my eyelashes seem very pointy and group together like shards or something. How can I make it like they're eyelashes again while applying the mascara? Thanks.

Try the lash exact purple/pink tube from CG. I do make-up freelance and I swear by this stuff. Be sure to slowly extract the wand for the tube rubbing it along the rim to remove access. Then start at the base of the lash and move it at a slow speed back and forth stopping before reaching the end of your lash. If you find it's still clumpy go through your lashes with a eyelash brush. You can use a sewing needle to seperate the lashes; but I wouldn't recommend this unless you have a steady hand. Good Luck!
ok, well even though your mascara is like brand new, u might have forgotten to seal it all the way a few times, so the bristles of the brush have stuck together, my advice is to either buy a new thing of mascara, which would be a total bummer doing, or go out to the dollar store and get one of those plastic eyelash separators, then, use it on the brush, seperate the bristles a little. another idea would be to use the mascara and every day just use the eyelash separators to separate your eyelashes after using mascara. if u cant find the eyelas seperator brush to use on the mascara brush, u can buy a lice treatment comb at the dollar store, which works exactly the same. just dont use it on ur eyes cuz its kinda sorta pretty pointy. i hope i helped.
Start by cleaning the brush applicator, there might be some gunk in there that is causing excessive clumping. Also, apply slow, smooth strokes from the base of your eyelashes to the tips. Go from the inner corners of your eyes outward when applying.
If it looks like it is clumping, you could use one of those eye lash combs to separate. However, be careful with those as they sometimes rip out eyelashes, especially if the mascara has already dried. ONLY use the eyelash comb when the mascara is wet!!
Also, you could try to curl your eyelashes before (without mascara) and after (I have more success with after) with a curler to make the clumps less noticeable if they are there.
Best of luck!!
i use to sell mary kay. we were taught that if you pump the wand in the tube it causes air and will make your mascara not last as long and make it clump up. so just roll the brush in the tube before applying.start at the base and go upward in long strokes.if needed you can follow up with a brush. be gentle with yur eye area. the skin around it is very thin and delicate.thier mascara remover is awsome, but i do not like thier mascara.i love maybelline green and pink tube and they also have a green tube for volumizing.water proof amscara alwzays goes on mor difficultly than non waterproof, but what girl doesn't need waterproof mascara.
Start at the base of your lashes with the brush. Work upward in a slight jagged motion, making sure to coat the entire lash. If they are still clumpy after doing this, take a small lash comb and run through your lashes while the mascara is still wet.
You might not be putting it on right cause Maybelline doesnt do that to my eyelashes unless its the cheap kind
answerer one, is right.
Start at the very base of your lashes, and slowly wiggle the brush upward till your 3/4 of the way up the eyelashes. The sweep upward the rest of the way .
IT should seperate your lashes, and help define them.
Hope I helped!

i have this problem too, this is what to do, curl your eyelashes and put a primer on, its white/ clear, before the massacra, it makes your eyelashes more volume too and they wont stick toghter if you keep curling them. there tricky sometimes and the pain in the *** if you cant get them perfectt, but whatever as long as you have some massacra on it will be okay :)) !
try Covergirl Lash exact or Volume exact. They bothe work great
