mercedes c180 kompressor 2004?
Hi I have recently got a mercedes c180 kompressor, and everything seems fine..... But is it normal in idle for the supers charger to be making a sound like its reving up and down ever so slightly or is it me just been paranoid :-/
Update:HI sorry should have said this before it seem to be idling fine , the rev counter is steady, just the sound for the supercharger going from low to high it's not very noticeable almost like its doing I cycle or something??? I do know supercharger have a parcetic affect on engines but just wanted to know if this is normal or not as iv never had a car fitted with one before

Your KOMPRESSOR requires special engine oil and NOT the stuff from most quicky lubes. THe KOMPRESSOR has it' OWN oil supply, and requires the special oil from the DEALERSHIP. You MUST be using synthetic oil in the main ENGINE as well. Mobil One 0W-40, TOTAL 5w-40, AMSOIL, PENTOSIN, Pennzoil ULTRA. The words,"meets MERCEDES specifications," must appear on the LABEL!!! NO VALVOLINE, unless these exact words appear!!!! NO wax based, conventional engine oils. EUROPEAN engines will self destruct on REGULAR oil types. Locate and clean your THROTTLE BODY. Special electronics live there. Use SEAFOAM and GUMOUT to do this. This will improve idle and the track leading to the KOMPRESSOR. HOW MANY MILES?? ANY check engine lights on??? If this car is USED, PLEASE have the oil supply to the KOMPRESSOR checked and evaluate the engine for presence of SLUDGE. Remove your OIL FILLER cap and flip it OVER. If there is ANY brown waxy goo on it, you SHOULD get a motor flush. POWER WASH the engine with GUNK Orange to remove grease and road debris and GRIME! CLEAN engines ALWAYS work their best. SWEAR OFF any wax based engine oils, and READ your manual about fluid specifications!! GOOD LUCK!!
check for leaks-vacuum- and have your sensors tested,i.e.,the mass air flow and have the fuel pressure checked there is a problem some where it should be idling smooth, my guess is a leak some where, that would be most common.
