I am preparing to bake Choc-chip meringue cookies. However,the recipe does not mention the temp.of the 2 eggs required. When making mreingue don't you want your eggs to be as cold as possible,or should they be at room temp.?

The ideal temperature for eggs when preparing meringue is room temperature or 70 degrees F. And make sure the bowl you are using to mix the meringue in is very clean of any type of fat or oil, this will ruin your Meringue.
I think they say room temperature, but I make awesome meringues and I usually just take them out of the fridge.
