Ok so I'm a 14 year old girl and I just want to know what are good and bad things about moving to Australia from the uk. Also I will be moving to Perth so is there anything I need to know about that part of the country?
What do I need to know as far a the "slang" ?
I'm also really scared of spiders but apparently they aren't as coman as you would think?
So anything you have to say will help me.

Australia is a great country to move to. Don't worry about the slang, you are a teenager, you'll pick it up in five minutes. In any case someone my age is not supposed to know or understand teenage slang so I wouldn't presume to do so.
There are plenty of books on Australia, read Bill Bryson's Down Under before you come here. It is an interesting and amusing book.
Australia has more spiders than the UK only because it is bigger. There will be just as many spiders in your house and garden in Australia as there are in your house and garden in the UK. If you are in a house, there are spiders within 2metres of you right now. If you are in the garden, there are at least a hundred spiders within a metre of you. Most of them are small and you have no idea they are there. 23 million Australians manage to live with the spiders here and there are just as many Australians scared of spiders as Brits.
I moved to Australia with my family when I was 16. I was terrified of spiders. I'm still here more than fifty years later and love it. I still don't like spiders and the big huntsmen give me the willies but I've learned to live with them.
The Pomsinoz immigration forum has a section for younger members. Join that and you'll find other young Brits who have already been through the move (and others who, like you, are just starting).
