Yes, you're good. If you read the instructions on things like that, it'll tell you that 30 days between doses in an estimate, that you may need to do it sooner or it may be good for longer. They also tell you that if you see fleas on your dog between doses, you may need to use it in conjunction with a tick collar. The other poster was right, though. Many drops actually don't kill the insects till they bite. I thought K9 Advantix advertised that they killed before the bite though. If they are a real problem and several are actually latched onto your dog, use a flea shampoo or dip. Good luck and just follow the directions on the boxes and labels. The collar should be fine with the medicine. I don't really recommend collars because sometimes dogs have bad reactions to it, but sometimes they work like a charm! Try to get some kind of spray for your yard (I've never had any but i'm sure it exists) to kill ticks. If you take your dog to parks a lot, try to go less often because those can be full of fleas and ticks and other gross things, lol. Try to avoid places where ticks like to hide. Keep your grass cut low.

Also, are you getting the right dose of tick medicine? Maybe you need to get a higher dose since your dog's pretty big.

Usually what the flea and tick stuff does is kill the ticks when it bites the dog. It's gross. My dog has dead ticks everywhere. I think the collar should be fine with the flea and tick drops.
