You really need to get her out of your home...

In writing make a list of things that your sister must do .

List the rent and how much is do.

Make a list of what you expect around your home.

#1 . Your ex is not allowed in this house

#2 Your rent is due on the first of the month

#3 Your share of the utilities is due on the 1st of the month.

#4 No smoking in the house . Smoking on the outside only

#5 Laundry room is to be cleaned after using

#6 When cooking you are responsible for doing your own dishes and cleaning the kitchen

If the rules are not followed we will have to request that you make other arrangements.

Do not let you sister ruin your marriage and your home. Blood is not thicker than water. My youngest sister broke up my marriage because I did not put my foot down a long time ago. My youngest sister is with my ex.

You are under no obligation to put a roof over your sister's head. Since she won't pay her fair share, or abide by the house rules, you have no choice but to put her out. Let her have maybe 30 days to find a place of her own and then in 30 days, put her out...no excuses!

The only other option would be to tell your parents about her behavior and see if they can take her in...or at least straighten her out!

You're going to have to screw up the courage to tell Sis that she needs her own place. Somewhere. Somehow, you need to stand up for yourself.

Since you've let her mooch off you for so long, you might have to do this legally - as in call a lawyer for advice on evicting her.

But evict her you must. No. It won't be easy. Sis is comfortable living off her more than generous family. BUT if you value your own sanity, not to mention your marriage, you must get Sis to move on.

She'll cry. She'll beg. She'll plead. She'll call you names. She may even become destructive or threatening. Stand your ground gal. She'll do anything to keep things where they are - which is good for her - but bad for you.

Call a lawyer familiar with renters and such. Again, she may need to be served with official eviction papers by the sheriff because she has lived with you for more than a little while.

Once Sis is out on her own - DO NOT FEEL GUILTY!!!! No. In fact, you might want to warn other family members of her mooching and alert them that you're giving her the boot - that's because she'll go crying to their doors with stories of what a cruel and mean and selfish person you are. If you get to them first, they'll have at least been warned.

But DO NOT FEEL GUILTY!!!! Sis needs her own place.

How long have you let it go on like this? Also, why is he her ex husband if she's still hanging around with him? her behavior makes absolutely no sense to me. You need to let her know she needs to start pulling her own weight around there, or you'll kick her out. If she really wants to help, she will. If she doesn't, she's not worth having around to put a strain on your marriage.

If your not willing to adminster a penalty for her lack of responsibilty then you are stuck with her like it is. You will ultimately cause problems in your marriage over this and Im guessing she wont care about that.

You need to pack her bags and put them outside the house. Give her a time frame ( one month) to leave then pack them and put them out and change the locks.

Talk to her woman to woman. Tell her that, under NO circumstances, will you allow her to freeload off of you. Tell her that she has two options: She can pay her share of the rent/bills, and keep her ex out of your house, or she can move out and find her own place. Tell her that you understand what she's going through, but her behavior is unacceptable.

Give her 30 days to move, and remember after 3 days relatives start to stink, stop letting people move in.
