This is actually my 4th pregnacy... and in the previous 3 I have not had the extent of nausea that I have this time around. It's all day, not exaggerating. The only time I get relief from it is when I'm sleeping. :-) Unfortunately I teach preschool out of my home and I am the only staff person so I can't really take "days off" nor does being ill help our days go smoothly! Any ideas for this situation?
Update:Wow...those were fast responses. Crackers have always worked for me in the past but...not this time. I always swore I didn't have much problem before because of my fluid intake...but not the case this time. I drink just as much water (even if it just sits in my stomach!). Thank-you all!

*Ginger always helps - you can have a bit raw, as ginger chews, or ginger tea.
*Seltzer water, lemon or lime flavored (but unsweetened)
*Pregnancy Herbal tea has good herbs that help. You can usually find that tea at a health food store
*If you are not in the first trimester anymore, mint tea helps. Mint just s not recommended during the 1st trimester
I hope you feel better!
I had the same thing and there are several things you can try. The first is ginger candy, which you can buy at almost any whole foods or organic grocery store. I personally didn't like the taste but have heard that it works wonders for some people. Preggie Pops, sold at places like MiMi Maternity or online, are also great. I found that they worked better than regular sucking candy. Peppermint Tea helped me a lot too. My nausea got so bad I was in the ER several times and was eventually prescribed Zofran, which is usually used for Chemo patients, but was a wonder drug for me and is entirely safe during pregnancy, even the 1st trimester. So, if you try other things and nothing seems to help, talk to your Dr. There are safe alternatives to homeopathic remedies. Good luck and feel better.

Lemons worked well for me. Sometimes I would just cut one and the smell would start to make me feel better! I drank a lot of lemonade and ate a lot of lemon wedges.
Plain Lay's potato chips also worked for me. Much better than the saltines. They didn't have that awful after taste the crackers did.
Sour hard candies also helped.
Not letting my stomach get too empty also helped prevent it. Eat a little bit of protein every few hours. Cheese and yogurt are great if you can stomach them.
I feel for you...I also had all day sickness for a long time. I'm 19 weeks now and its better, but I still have my off days.
The three most common types of natural remedies are ginger tea, acupressure wristbands (called "sea bands"), and vitamin B6. Another option is to eat frequent smaller meals, so that you are never too hungry or too full at one time. There are also some lozenges on the market made for pregnant women who suffer from morning sickness. Preggie Pop Drops are the one that comes to mind. My sister-in-law uses them and swears by them.
Celery & Lemon Lime Gaterade, worked wonders for my 3 pregnancy's!
Peppermint
Try lotions or creams that you like the smell of..It helped me. It also helped when I ate plain vanilla ice cream or plain popsicles (anything cold and with not much taste) or drinking cold water--but that may make it worse too.
I know EXACTLY how u feel. I am experiencing this too and it seems to never never go away. i got advice to try sniffing citrus smells or eating crackers hope this helps
Saltines are what my wife used to eat and crystallized ginger which you can buy in large containers at Whole Foods
