i had my router unpluged for a week and when i went to use it again it would not connect to internet. iv tried to reset it but it wont bring me to the login page when i type in 192.268.1.1 it just comes up "cannot display web page" iv also tried 192.268.1.0 and many others! i dont know what im doing wrong, would it have anything to do with the ethernet cable. at the moment i have it connected to my laptop and modem, where should it be plugged in when im trying to set up router? when i have it plugged into modem and router and check for a wireless network i cant find the signal! im a novice at computers so hope its easily fixed as netgear want £70 subscription before they will tell me what to do
Atualizada:wahoo i fixed it =) what i was doing wrong was that i was only using 1 cable! i was doing everythin else right other than that
thanx

I have the exact same router lol it was just a coincidence that i happened to to find your question in the main page lol.
You can also connect with routerlogin.com The default login info is Username: admin Password: password
Did you make you sure that the internet cable that goes from the modem is going to the main port on the right it should be slightly separated from the other ones. then with the other ethernet cable connect it to your pc. well i hope that helps you lol.
Hi,
Dear, actually you can open your command prompt at Start > Run > type in CMD > Enter ... and type ipconfig to the command prompt... > Enter
Identify your gateway should be 192.168.1.1 > Go to internet explorer and type into the web address. You should be able to access the router. Try to configure your internet access over there.
Hope it helps !
