Yes!! Thousands of years ago our primitive ancestors could not interpret the world as we do now. So in their writings they had no other way to explain the world around me. Thus they created myths and stories to explain natural occurring phenomenon. Thus we have religion
Religion made a lot of sense as an institution in feudal times for keeping the peasantry from rioting. Now it has turned into big business. For example, the LDS Church made $13 billion in mandatory tithes last year. And they are a tax-exempt organization. Primitive or not, it is a huge money making enterprise.

i think religion was a collection of ideas written a long long time ago....thousands of years...about a world that humans could not explain.
they were the first theories...but now they are just as dated as a tape cassette.
