so i come home from work and turn my pc on normaly. i do what i do and start playing some games. well after a short time my pc just shuts off. and it was like a slight surge. so i blamed it on the electric company and went on. then later it did it again this time though it would turn on right away and would only blink on real quick but then shut off. so i pressed a few more times and it worked. so i was like "hmm thats wierd" then again it did it and now it doesnt even want to turn on and i just get the blinks and nothing, the thing that gets me is that my mouse that lights up is lit and my sound system and even my gaming controler is alive but it just wont turn on. maybe it;s too cold so i dunno what to do. i figure since the mouse and other things light up its not the power supply. so there has to be a short somewhere or something. i dunno very frustrated but keeping my cool.
Update:the computer is only half year old.

Its still possible that it could be the PSU (Power Supply Unit) of the computer, have you installed any new hardware recently that could be using more Power?
How old is the computer?
Maybe if you list your System specs and your PSU i could be more help?
