I've no idea who the character is. I have a personal passionate hatred of lesbian dramas and avoid them. If the BBC were determined to show a drama and not soft lesbian porn they'd make a program about older wrinkly lesbians. :o) Likewise for gay men.

There's a saying that heterosexuals fall in love, gay people just have sex. We can thank the media for that perpetual mythical portrayal of gay folks.
