Regardless of what anyone says, Toyota and Honda are equally great cars. Both cars---Camry and Accord--are legendary for the change they brought upon the car industry in America.
I prefer Toyotas, merely because Honda has had some weird design differences. But in new cars now, it's very different. I had one of the original Honda Accords from 1981, and it was a blast to drive!! But then Toyota seduced me!!
However----I believe that the Camry has lost much of its appeal, mostly due to the lack of imagination in its design. Honda however, has been innovative in keep its cars interesting. A friend bought the 2009 Honda Accord last fall, and it's extremely roomy. I could live in that front seat!! Has plenty of power for a 4 cyl, altho' he'd have loved to get the 6 cyl, but didn't want to pay for the leather seats.
So right now, I think the durability and reliability of BOTH companies cannot be matched by US industry. The 1989 thru 1992 Toyota Camry's are still at top of list of most stolen cars in America. Somewhere, they're still incredibly popular!!
But both cars retain their value exceedingly well. You'd do well with either choice. For me, it's more of how the dash is designed and how the car feels when you drive it. Do go and drive each one, you may find things which you like and don't like about each car.
The Honda Accord looks great; the Camry looks old and tired, needs new design.
But reliability is great for either car, you cannot go wrong with either one. And even tho' I sound like I prefer Honda, I am still a Toyota man. It's hard to change favorites.
Toyota Camry and Honda Accord are both a good choice. Honda Accord is a little bit more stiff, but a good choice too. I trust Honda as much of Toyota.
P.S:. Don`t mind about people like Johnny who continue to believe American cars are better than Toyota or Honda. Do you really want to compare any model from `The Big three` with a Camry or Accord, Johnny?? Forget it.
They are both good cars, however with my experience Toyotas are better overall.
My last four cars were Toyotas and they have all been excellent cars. I've had friends that have Hondas which have also lasted quite a while. However I found that their Hondas are less refined. They are not as smooth, quiet, and comfortable as my Toyotas. Also for some reason when their Hondas get to be around 60k or 70k miles there is a noticible amount of engine vibration when you come to a stop.
Test drive them both, I prefer the Camry but of these two cars you really can't go wrong.
I'd go with the Camry. i just don't like the styling of the new accords. if been in both and i can tell you that the camry is much more comfortable and the materials aren't as bad as you think, i was pleased with the overall quality of the car and i think it looks great.
Toyota Camry reliable, but ugly, line-less, tired looking. Honda Accord reliable but has lines, more class and style, and nicer shape. Unfortunately Toyota just doesn't seem to understand that people like their cars to have lines and swift symmetry, instead of drooped bubble, oblong malformed shapes. Mini vans aren't necessarily supposed to be beautiful, but their Sienna surely wins awards for being the most ugly malformed can of blobs I''ve ever seen in my life. Reliable, yes. Ugly...YES!

I say the Toyota Camry is because I like Toyota's Quality and form so much better than Honda.
I think the Camry looks much better than the Accord but that's just me.
Both with last a long time with Proper care but I believe the Camry has higher Resale Value and slightly lower costs over the life of the Car.
Which one is more fun is probally a matter of a opinion. Neither one are sports cars. It also depends on which engine you get.
But I belive you can get the Camry with a Sporty suspension.
I say go for the Toyota!

Honda Accord 09
No she wants to spend money on something that will last more than 50k miles.
I like the looks of Camry SE. pictured in link below
They seem either a good choice. You didnt really say the options you wanted.
Toyota's are insanely reliable. Change the oil and it will never break down on you. Plus they last forever.
