Tropical Fish product causes cancer?
Hey guys I'm concerned about this product I live in CALIFORNIA and I bought this Fungus Guard today at PetSmart. It is (Tetra Fungus Guard) I was reading the back of it and there is a section that says....Warning: This product contains a chemical known to the state of California to cause cancer.? Is this something to be concerned of ? I have a 20 gallon fish tank in my bed room and I do water changes every week. I am scared once I use this product for my fish I am not going to have to touch the water because the chemical that causes cancer is going to be all over the water. Please help me! Thank you

Move out of California. Many materials and chemicals that are known to science not to be related to increases in cancer incidence are known to cause cancer if you are a politician or lawyer in California.
One cause of this state of affairs is that in California if you sell something, instead of making your product better than the competition you go to a lawyer or politician and get a law passed saying your competitor's product causes cancer.
However because of soaps and perfumes and germs that can be on your hands, and germs and fish waste that can be in the aquarium, it is best for you and for your fish to keep your hands out of the water. You can use tools for reaching into the aquarium or Aquagloves.
