I have just purchased a Vivitar Vivicam X30 Digital Camera, and I when I inserted my SD Memory card.. It shows "Media Error" on the screen.With no success, I have tried:Formatting on the camera,Formatting on the computer,Wiping the terminals on SD Card,Blowing into the SD Card Slot on the camera.I do not know what the problem could be,any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.Thanks in advance.. First lets go over some basics. The vivitar X30 will accept any Secure Digital card up to 1GB. If you have a card thats bigger, it will not work. Second, the memory card has to be formatted in the camera not the computer. If you format it in the computer your camera will not recognize it. Also make sure that the lock slide switch on the side of the SD card is in the unlock position. Make sure the camera is off before you insert the card into the camera. As a last resort, you may have purchased a bad card.
