just wondering about the lists doctors send you all home with. you know, no-nos while you're pregnant. share your lists please! just wondering what to expect.
limit tuna and salmon intake, (i rarely have it anyway).
keep caffeine intake to 2 drinks per day only (soda or coffee) *i don't drink either anyway*
oh...with my last pregnancy i wanted to use an herbal 'quit smoking' method, but was not allowed to, instead i was advised to cut back and eventually quit gradually...but i actually just quit cold turkey. *two yrs smoke free this month, go me! lol*
no roller coaster riding
no horseback riding
no trips over 2hrs long after my 24 wk. preggers (I'm high-risk w/gestational diabetes)
limit hot bathes to 20-30mins.
watch my carb intake (gestational diabetes)...so no pasta, large amounts of ice cream, and potatoes *I'm crying about no ice cream! lol*
only Tylenol products for headaches or sinus problems...etc.
One of the things that surprised me that I never would have thought about was that I could no longer use my topical acne medication (I think I was using Differin (sp?) Gel at the time). It never occured to me that a product you use on your skin/face could affect your baby in any way. Live and learn. Best of luck to you.,
if u like tuna limit it to 6 oz a week (due to the mercury)
no hot tubs or saunas
dont sleep on your back (there is an artery and the baby could press on it causing both of you a risk of death) try to only sleep on your left side (its best for circulation)
limit caffeine to 16 oz a day
only take tylenol for pains/aches (no ib prof or advil or aleve)
