I am a 23yr old Indian girl working in a MNC in bangalore.I have been in love with my boyfriend for last 3yrs.He is 26 and he is a doctor.we both want to get married.but my boyfriend is christian whereas my family are hindus(brahmins).My parents knew him since he was a toddler as earlier he and his family used to live near our house.THEY USED 2 REALLY LIKE HIM.but since the time i told them about my feelings for him.THEY ARE NOW TOTALLY AGAINST MY marriage with him.when i asked why.they said being a hindu they can never give their daughter to a christian household as this would be a very grave sin.THEY ARE NOW ASKING ME TO GET MARRIED TO A GUY of their choice.MY MOM TOLD ME The only problem with my bf is that he is christian and if i get married to him then this would humiliate them in front of our relatives.my parents told me that that i should be grateful to them for what they have done for me.I Am really indebted to them for my education and upbringing.so i told them i wont marry my bf if that is what they want but i also made it clear that i can never be happy without him and that i will never marry anyone else.but still my parents are forcing me 2 get married to their choice of guy.HOW CAN I LEAVE MY B.F. Just because he is a christian.His parents have no problem with me.He came to my home with his parents to convince my parents but my parents told them that my marriage is fixed with another guy.my bf even came again later on to my home.but still it had no effect on my parents.they are so adamant over this religious issue.mom told me today that if i don't get married to the guy of their choice then they would break all contact with me and will think that they had no daughter.i cant hurt them.but i don't want to get married to someone whom i don't love.i am such a coward that i cant even kill myself.what do i do?if there is no way den at least tell me the surest way to die,in this way my parents don't have to be ashamed of me 4 loving a christian guy.
