Here's the answer! Indian farmers don't have to abide by the same rules as American farmers, they can still use things like DDT that have been banned in the US for decades. Like any good business Coke tried to buy locally for their bottling plants to save importing and shipping costs. So what happened is the indian people were getting back the pesticides they used. What's funny is that for now they're only after coke (deep pockets) the rest of the food supply is just as bad. ***
