5 weeks ago I bought a biorb. the next week I then bought 6 zebra danios and I left them in my 60 liter biorb tank for 4 weeks. I have followed all the rules and change the water and the filter. About a hour ago i bought some cobra skin guppies and the danios seem to chase them about. Are the guppies being bullied or is this common and ok.
Update:this is my first time with guppies, danios and my new biorb aquarium

In general, Guppies and Danios will be fine with one another. It's the "tank" that's the problem.
BiOrbs are not conducive to keeping fish. Period. They're pretty, but their small size coupled with their round shape/limited surface area make them a poor choice for an aquarium.
To my knowledge, BiOrbs do not come in a size larger than 16 gallons. Because of their very small surface area, they should be considered as 1/2 that for stocking purposes.
IF you are going to keep a fish in a BiOrb, and IF it's the 16 gallon version, a single Betta and some shrimp would be the only reasonable choice. And you'd need a heater.
If you want to keep your Danios and Guppies, you'll need at least a 20 gallon, traditionally shaped, "long" aquarium.
6 Danios and 5 same sex Guppies would fully stock that.
If your BiOrb is smaller than 16 gallons, I'd suggest returning it.
Guppies and danios can get alongside yet i does not attempt it in a 10 gallon. Danios would nicely be semi-aggressive and can be many times happening as fin nippers, exceedingly to a wild flying colourful flag like a guppy tail. At 5 zebra danio that get to be 2 inches a bite you're already thoroughly stocked in a 10 gallon tank. Danios are some distance much less aggressive whilst stored in communities of 6 with guppies stored in a matching style of team length AND with lots of room to swim, which they does not have in a 10 gallon. save a thorough eye. in case you notice indications of aggression separate immediately. you would be lots extra ideal off doing this in a 20 gallon and with extra guppies. good luck : )
You don't have enough danios.
Yes, your guppies are being bullied. Did you really need us to tell you what you have already observed?
Why more danios? They tend to chase each other before other species. Larger groups of fish tend to keep their behaviors within their own species.
Measure your tank for the front right corner to the back left corner. Measure the height of the tank on the inside. Get a piece of glass that goes from corner to corner.
Put the glass in your tank. It will disappear in the water so be careful.
Put your danios in the back section and your guppies in the front. No one will know that the tank is effectively two tanks.
Yup, they are being bullied. The danios think its their territory and the guppies are trespassing, so they are chasing and bullying them
Fin nipping might happen too
