Mine don't work either and I can't find the answer anywhere!

This must be an Internet Explorer 11 issue because I haven't been able to insert emoticons either. However, I tried the Google Chrome browser and had no problem inserting the emoticons!

Emoticons are not available in basic mail or Plain Text mode. If you are using basic mail please switch to full featured mail and if you are using Plain Text click the double arrows (>>) at the bottom of the page to switch to Rich Text.

You may need to enable SSL - also known as HTTPS - in your mail settings:

Go to Yahoo Mail, hover over the gear icon in the upper-right corner

Select Settings

Select Security

Check the box next to "Always use https"

Click Save

Be sure your web browser is the newest version or you may need to upgrade your web browser to the newest version or switch to a different browser.
