well what is happening is that my car wont go past a certain rpm which i think that it is about 2500 (i dont know since my rpm gauge isnt working, i had one hooked up for a little while but removed that for now) what is basically happening is that when i hit that spot i have to change gears or i dont go any faster the engine sounds like it is going to stall out or something but stops as soon as i change gears it does that for every gear all the way to fifth and the fastest that i can go is about 75 on the highway then the rpms start to do the same thing

I have a little experience in cars, but I'm guessing it's an ECU (electronic control unit) problem. An ECU is like a little computer box that is connected to your engine that manages ignitition timing and other things like that, and perhaps your gauge problem might as well have to do something with that. Perhaps you should take it in the dealer and get it fixed, an ECU should be no major problem all they need to do is just tweaking or reflash it with a program that deals with ECU. Or the other scenario is probably the clutch, which I have no idea about troubleshooting it. But good luck
Older vehicles like my previous ford siearra ghia reved as a lot as about 2'000 rpm and can want to stall with air con on and utilizing ability sterring to flow round corners per chance because it hasent been used for a lengthy time period ( it might want to end after it begins getting used )
