Fact 1. if you have missed your period and your regular a HPT will show an accurate result. REASON BEING.... the HCG in your system needs to be at the level needed to test, AT THE TIME OF YOUR PERIOD. This is what STOPS menstruation.....with out the HIGH levels you would lose your embryo at the time your period is due!..This is a common thing and that is why it is suggested not to test until your MISSED period.

Fact 2. Unless you are mapping you cycle you can never be sure of your OVULATION. at least not until your period comes, as ovulation takes place 14 days BEFORE your period NOT AFTER.

Fact 3. if you are late for your period it can mean a number of things not just pregnancy.

so in saying that YES you could be pregnant and NO you may not be.

you may have ovulated later in you cycle...so your period will be late...or you may have conceived during your late ovulation Hence the test not showing up yet. (one good way is if it has been 14 days or so since your last sexual encounter it should be accurate).

You may also of had NO OVULATION this month! it happens..and if so you may not get a period at all.

Its possible, but you should take another pregnancy test by the end of this week if your period doesn't start. You'd only be about 6 weeks now, and it is possible that you just don't have enough of the hormone in your urine yet, you could always go to the doctors and request a blood pregnancy test.

I'll say yes. I took every home pregnancy test there was for three months after my first missed period and they were all negative. Only way to really know is call the doctor

I would say no because your test would show up by now, cause I last had my period oct. 27 and it came out positive the 24th on Nov. There are a lot of different reasons people miss the periods and it isn't always just because they are pregnant.

You would be 6 weeks and two days pregnant. On friday you would've only been in the 5th week. Sometimes it takes awhile for the HCG to show up. Let us know what happens, you should test again in the morning!

My last period was Oct. 27th....november 27th i missed my period... 6 days later i took a test..IT WAS POSITIVE!!! so maybe you should wait a lil bit and take another test..or go for a blood test!!
