Anybody familiar with Restasis eye drops?
I just started using them because my optometrist told me I should get my eyes more moisturized before I get my new contacts. My eyes have always been dry, but not so dry that they're too irritated or red. I've been using the Restasis drops for a few days now, and while my eyes aren't feeling irritated, they're more red than they would usually be. Is it normal for them to go through such a phase? Thanks for any help.

Yes, this is normal. It usually takes a couple of months for you to notice a difference with Restasis. That is one thing about this drop-you dont see results instantly - you have to keep using it consistantly. Hopefully in about 2 months you will notice a difference.
this is normal. i hear it all the time at work.. it takes some getting used to... keep on the restasis, and also use artifiacl tears frequently. you can use an artificail tear drop 5 min prior to using the restasis drop. that will probably help.
my dad uses it and helps him a lot, although he has to use them every day. considering he's been using it for three years now and has no intention of stopping, i would say it's an ongoing daily treatment.
