There's a guy who works at the local bookstore in town and (from what I can tell) he seems pretty cool and I'm definitely attracted to him. I would love to ask him to hang out sometime (and maybe start dating him), but the main problem is we don't know each other. I'm pretty sure he doesn't know I exist and I don't even know his name.

I'm kind of shy around new people, and can be kind of socially stupid. I don't want to completely scare this guy off!

How can I ask him to hang out with me (plus ideas on what to do?) without being super creepy and awkward about it? :)
