I had four impacted wisdom teeth removed this past Thursday and they are healing fairly well. I am feeling little to no pain (some pain in the evening, though).
It seems that the gum around my bottom left wisdom tooth was really cut up and I'm not sure but it seems that part of it may be stitched to my cheek? This extraction site seems to be the slowest healing as the bleeding continued for almost five days after the surgery.
Anyway there is a FOUL smelling, liquid, brown residue that seems to be leaking out every few minutes. What is this brown residue??
Update:I can taste it in my mouth and I almost vomited... ):

This is just some food, plaque, and dried blood that seeps out of the socket. That site was where the most work was done because the tooth was the hardest to remove. It is normal to see the tissue stitched high up on the cheek area. It sounds like you are healing well and I would advise to keep rinsing with warm saline and even use the irrigating syringe the dentist may have given you. Good luck.
