Does this hurt? How about when I touch
There? No, nothing. Wounds
Sparkle like diamonds sometimes,
Don’t they?
She’s asking you a question.
I thought about returning to the safari
There are such interesting animals there.
Our guide was mauled;
We don’t speak of that day
Failure is like getting pricked by a needle
In a pile of hay It just
Has to choose where to prick
Her hand was caught under a rock
She said Let them gnaw it off
Now she laughs when people poke it.

i like the line "wounds sometimes sparkle like diamonds dont they? but with a poem like this, in my opinion, with different subjects in each verse they need to rhyme and flow. and there is not any way any one could guess for sure if it was animal or people who caught their hand under a rock and said let them gnaw then refer to people when she laughs when people poke it. i think you should work with it . just my humble opinion.
