The other day I went to get my 16 month old daughter up from her nap and it looked like she was trying to climb up the side of the crib. I don't know if she does this often or if it will become a problem or not. I don't feel like she's ready for a toddler bed yet. I don't think she would know she's supposed to sleep there. :) I've heard a little bit about crib tents and just wanted to find out if anyone has used one, and if so do they work and would you recommend getting one or is it a waste of money? I would really appreciate any suggestions!
Thanks!

I have a crib tent, but never needed to use it (thankfully). But I did let a friend borrow it b/c her kid would climb out of the crib at night and climb over his gate at the door. His parents did not sleep much due to this and neither did the kid. Anyway, if you feel she is not ready for the toddler bed, but she wants to climb out of the crib (and risk getting hurt) then I would say why not use a crib tent. I mean it won't hurt anything to use it. She will or can get hurt though if she falls on her head trying to escape the crib. My friend said it worked great for her and she loved it.
Personally I always put my babies in Sleep Sacks, and having their legs covered made them a bit less inclined to try to climb. My first one was not a climber by nature and my little one is probably still too young to be seriously trying, so I have yet to see. I kept my big one in her crib until 3, and she wore a Sleep Sack until probably around 2.5. Never tried a crib tent.
