It really all depends on your pain tolerance. Mine wasn't too bad. I got mine pierced with a gun so it may hurt a little more with a needle. But I could feel it go through and it kind of hurt. It was a really sharp pinch and then it felt really warm. The warmness doesn't hurt, you can just feel it. It hurt to sleep on it for a while.

You have to make sure to clean it because it can get infected very easily. It is harder to take care of then earlobe piercings.

It mostly depends on where but is different for everybody. I have 5 cartilage piercings and I'll rank them in order of least to most painful

If you don't know where these are on the ear just google them. None of them even hurt THAT bad though, it's just a quick poke and then it's done. Just be calm, a lot of pain for piercings/tats comes with how prepared you are for them. If you are tense and expecting it to hurt a lot then it will. But if you are calm it will be easier. Don't be worried, you'll be just fine! Oh and make sure you follow their aftercare instructions and don't change the jewelry for about 4-6 weeks. Good luck!

Okay i got mine pirced...It doesnt hurt when u get it pirced, but u can hear urr cartilage pop really loud so that may scare u. It hurts a little bit afterward.And when u go to bed u cant sleep on that side at all and its a pian in the *** that u cant cause i toss and turn. I've had mine for probably 5 months now and its still not heaaled but it doesnt hurt and i found a way to sleep on that side were it doesnt really effect the pircing!Hope i helped!(:

they pierced both of mine with a piercing gun. it hurt a little, but i have a high pain tolerance and i didn't mind it. i'd have it done again.

be prepared for sleeping though, that's the part that's gonna be hell for you. have your cartlidges pierced at different times so that you can sleep better. Like if you usually sleep on your left side, have your right cartlidge pierced first and then when you've had it for a few months and it doesn't hurt anymore, then have your left cartlidge pierced. if you get both done at the same time like i did, then sleeping is going to be painful for you for the first three months. : )

Not at all! i got mine pierced and it didn't hurt one bit. it just hurt a little one the piercing goes through, like when he/she puts the jewelry through. it wont hurt!! on a scale from 1-10 it would be like a 2, i barely felt it!! (:
