Do I get him a christmas gift?
In college, and met this guy through friends over thanksgiving break. We started talking and are out on a date when we get home for winter break (Dec 19th). Am i supposed to get him something for christmas? If so, any ideas? I think I'm beginning to like him, but it's just very new and I barely know him.

All up to you. If you want to, go for it. I wouldn't get anything too personal since you two just met not too long ago. Perhaps just take note of something he likes and get him something small, that isn't personal. If he asks why, just say - I was out shopping, saw this and said - what the heck! So here you are, hope ya like.
That way he doesn't feel obligated to get you something but if he does get you something doesn't feel left out. You never know, maybe he is feeling the same way and wonders if he should get you something.
I always have a few unisex gifts under the tree, a book or appointment book, some small inexpensive item. If faced with receiving a gift when I don't have a gift for the giver I am prepared. But I think it is much too early in this new relationship to be exchanging gifts.
If this is your first date, you are not required to get him a gift. But, if he turns up with one for you, you can always tell him that it isn't quite Christmas yet.. and he'll have to wait until the 25th to receive his gift.
I would get him something small and practical, maybe a gift card to Walmart, or Bestbuy.
Im a guy and if a chick that i barely know gives me a present i'll be happy, so yeah if you feel comfortable giving him a present go ahead. just dont go over board by giving him something really expensive!!! clothing or a gift card will do.
just get him something small then, like a novelty light hearted gift. an amusing reindeer that dispenses sweets or something. that way, he'll know you're thinking of him, but the gift isn't too heavy or meaningful.
I wouldnt do more then a card. It's way to soon to give him a gift, and you dont want him to feel awkard if he didnt give you one. Maybe you can bake him cookies.
i wouldn't get him anything unless the date goes really well, but since its so early on it might make you look a little too clingy...and guys don't really like that. so it might just be best to hold off and who knows? maybe yall will be together for valentine's and you can get him something then :)
